“When I came to the NWA Second Stage Transition, I did not have a home, a job, nor a relationship with my 17-year-old daughter who lives with her father. I slept in my truck many days and nights with my 4-year-old daughter to prevent relapse, emotional, and physical abuse again and again from her father. Later, DHS removed my daughter from my care. Today I have accomplished so much in a short amount of time. The NWA Second Stage Transition family is teaching me how to live a life free from drugs and alcohol, domestic abuse, and live a productive life. I am working full time and have my daughter back with me. We are grateful! I am blessed and grateful for this program. It is because of staff that, I am empowered again”.

“My mother was the most important person in my life, but after she died few years ago, my world became a mess. I want to thank the Second Stage Transition so much for helping me, because of you guys, I am going to have my own room, TV, washer, and a dryer. I do not know how to read, don’t have no vehicle, no phone, and no one to help me apply for housing, but you guys help me get one.”
